Wanna Increase Interior Design Business By A Lot?

All you wanna do is increase interior design business so you're making big fat bank. I get it. You don't need a "lifeline" coach.

You don't need a "life" coach.

You don't need effin' fluff.

You Wanna Increase Interior Design Business By 10 Times

What I failed to realize when I started Mupplebee was how much fluff is out there in the coaching sector. And while that might be fine for some designers, it's not what I do.

Look, I'm breaking it down right now what I do for you. You + Me are a team. I'm your design biz BFF. I only share with you strategies that work.

We're not talking about pie in the sky, think good thoughts and it happens (although positive thinking along with strategies is important).

Like you, I want concrete information. Not theories, not ideas - just frameworks of how to put shit into action. I don't have time to ruminate on the possibilities.

When I hired my first coach I was like a little kid with my hand up in the air, waiting for them to take my hand and take me to the land of profit. Problem was that didn't know what I needed and they didn't have a way to help me figure that out.

I'm a mofo when it comes to taking action. If you have followed me and my business for any amount of time you know that as soon as I sink my teeth into an idea, I run with it and put it in place as soon as I can. I don't like to let the grass grow under my feet because life's too short and I'm not about to wait around for my dreams to come true.

And I know you're that way, too.

You can see the big picture, but you've also got bazillions ideas in your head about how your business could work, but stripping away the noise is hard. I know.

Today I want to get you on track with tips. Tips that you have to take action on.

Increase Interior Design Business Tip #1: Goals

To increase interior design business that boosts your bottom line, you have to have goals that you're constantly working on. Earl Nightingale has the perfect analogy for this:

Suppose a farmer has some land, and it's good, fertile land. The land gives the farmer a choice; he may plant in that land whatever he chooses. The land doesn't care. It's up to the farmer to make the decision.

We're comparing the human mind with the land because the mind, like the land, doesn't care what you plant in it. It will return what you plant, but it doesn't care what you plant.

Now, let's say that the farmer has two seeds in his hand- one is a seed of corn, the other is nightshade, a deadly poison. He digs two little holes in the earth and he plants both seeds-one corn, the other nightshade. He covers up the holes, waters and takes care of the land...and what will happen? Invariably, the land will return what was planted.

As it's written in the Bible, "As ye sow, so shall ye reap."

Remember the land doesn't care. It will return poison in just as wonderful abundance as it will corn. So up come the two plants - one corn, one poison.

The human mind is far more fertile, far more incredible and mysterious than the land, but it works the same way. It doesn't care what we plant...success...or failure. A concrete, worthwhile goal...or confusion, misunderstanding, fear, anxiety and so on. But what we plant must return to us.

You see, the human mind is the last great unexplored continent on earth. It contains riches beyond our wildest dreams. It will return anything we want to plant.

If you don't have goals, you don't know what the eff you're supposed to be doing. Just know that you just have to decide.

Increase Interior Design Business Tip #2: Outline

With goals outlined to increase interior design business, comes outlining the steps to reach those goals. If you were the farmer, you would know that you have to take steps 1,2,3 and so on to have a crop to harvest.

Layout your top 3 goals and then the steps for each of those goals to be a success. Remember, if you don't have a way to measure your success how will you know if you achieved it?

Increase Interior Design Business Tip #3: Action

Taking action is so important. Action must be taken no matter if you're scared.

"If your dreams don't scare you, they aren't big enough." - Lowell Lundstrum

Depending on where you are, setting itty bitty goals right now may be the only action you feel comfortable taking. Build up to those big ass dreams that make your palms sweat and have you jonesin' for a glass of wine to calm your nerves.

Trust me when I say that when you stretch yourself to set big goals, you'll be surprised at what you achieve. I know I've surprised myself at what I could actually achieve when it came to my income goals. So this year I've tripled the goal. And it scares me shitless. BUT I'm ready to go after it without the thought in my mind that it won't happen. I truly believe it will happen to know that if it doesn't I'm still setting a big ass hairy goal that would still be impressive to myself.

As creative peeps setting goals, making plans and corralling our bazillion ideas can seem like a chore we don't wanna tackle. We just want to be creative and sprinkle glitter all over the world. The thing that sets the pros apart from the newbies is the decision to go pro. All the way.

Are you ready to go pro?
